The high-carbon steel provides a sharp and long-lasting cutting edge, while the leather handles add comfort to each snip. These shears are intended for cutting branches up to ~0.5 inches thick. History: 
Since its founding in 1861, Toyama Hamono has been manufacturing shears for over five generations. Throughout this long history, they have continued to develop new tools for building construction and aircraft production. From their humble beginnings in the Edo period, Toyama Hamono has combined traditional manufacturing and innovative methods to support emerging industries. Today, the original fire-forging method is still used for shear manufacturing.
